NEW YORK - Gov. Eliot Spitzer has told senior advisers that he had been involved in a prostitution ring, The New York Times reported Monday, citing an anonymous top administration official.
Spitzer, who is married with three daughters, was scheduled to make an announcement Monday afternoon. Spitzer officials wouldn't immediately comment on the story.
The Times reported that a person with knowledge of the governor's role believes the governor is identified as a client in court papers. Four people allegedly connected to a high-end prostitution ring called Emperors Club VIP were arrested last week.

Judging from the statement he put out, it sounds like he's staying governor... Not sure what I think about that... Prostitution is illegal and all, and he should be charged just like all of us if we were caught (or w.e.), but until then, I think he's been a decent governor... On the other hand, I do think it's dirty that he was this big ethics and good-practices enforcer and... now this... Interesting to see what will happen.... |

I'm not sure which extensive list you are referring to which would make his actions in any way forgivable... In any event, wasn't Spitzer the who thought giving drivers licenses to illegals would be a good idea?
Good riddance. |

They are forgivable, just not legal... I'm just the type of guy that doesn't care about the personal lives of others though, as long as they do their jobs, and that's including government... HOWEVER, I do find it disturbing (and worse off for him, as far as my opinion of him goes) that he was all hardcore about breaking up prostitution rings in Long Island and enforcing the hardcore ethics B.S... That's what I find wrong about the situation... Otherwise, I wouldn't give a rat's ass... |
