funny coincidence: i just submitted a proposal for a travel fellowship i hope to win for this summer through a major architecture firm here
Basically I plan on lodging at a series of monasteries and studying/documenting them for my architectural thesis, which will be either the design of a monastery, a conversion of a monastery into something else, or a contemporary thing like public housing which can take a hint from the design of monasteries.
However, other places I need to see are:
Mt. Roirama, Brasil
Tiger's Nest Monastery, Bhutan
Perlin Hills, China
Norway
Iceland
Praha
Crete
Petra, Jordan
Cairo, Egypt
Angkor Wat, Cambodia
