The Hamptons formed in late 2005 after a chance meeting between Tyler C. and Daniel K. at an event in Indiana. As recent transplants to the Minneapolis music scene they hit it off instantly. Between Tyler C’s production experience and Daniel K’s experience behind the decks, joining forces seemed to be an easy decision. Their DJ sets range from the deep and progressive to the biggest and dirtiest house cuts imaginable. They hold a weekly residency on the Internet station ETN.fm in addition to their frequent gigs in the Minneapolis area. Tyler C. has had success in the production world with tracks played by DJs like Markus Schulz, Darude, Art Of Trance and many others, along with a track featured on the recent Platipus Records compilation, “Tales Of The Unexpected”.

Their "Don't Know Any Better EP" is slated for release right in the middle of this years Winter Music Conference and is already getting support from the likes of Andy Moor, D:Fuse, Flash Brothers, Solarstone and others. Title track 'Don't Know Any Better' is a deep-progressive gem that is sequenced beautifully and will have you tapping your foot in no time. 'Too Much' takes listeners on a harder edge with funky percussion and nasty, dirty bass that will get everyone on the floor praising the DJ. With The Hamptons just making their entrance into the world of production, this is expected to be their biggest release to date and will be rocking dance floors from Abkhazia to Zimbabwe.

Seneca you should really try to set up some directly linked samples from your web space.

MySpace sample links are profoundly irritating. :p

yeah.

also i kinda hate previewing something which i can't buy. if i like it, then by the time it is available i have probably forgotten it. so i'll probably listen to the samples once this is available to buy.

such a shame though, as now everything is digital so the covers don't really matter much at all anymore. i kinda feel like the great cover art on this one is wasted as it's most likely not going to be on a cover of a vinyl or a cd, but just as a small image on beatport. :nervous:

You're still able to put the image in the ID3 tag of the MP3. Though, hardly as good as a CD or Vinyl cover, atleast when you select the track on your MP3 player, it should show up as well. I agree though, doubtful many are going to do that. The cover art is a great marketing tool. If I just came onto beatport never hearing about this track previously, I'm sure I'd give this a listen because of the cover art (assuming I came upon the track).

+1 though, that cover art is straight sex. Congrats again to The Hamptons for this one. I expect to hear this track get some play down at WMC.
