How to create this sound?

Hi there,
This is my second post on TA and my first question (must say I'm a little scared after reading the 'lead synths';) ).
The thing is, I am sometimes struggling with sounds an I thought, hey, maybe if I post a thread somebody could help me out.
(I already used the search, no result ;) )
He thing is, on those uplifting trance tracks (like Nitrous Oxide, Daniel Kandi etc.) you always hear kinda 303-ish automated riffs, that really make the track move. I was really wondering how to create those, cause thats - what I think - is missing in my tracks: movement.
I am currently at work so I'm not able to post a snippet of a track that has this sound, but when I am home, I will.
Can anyone help me out? |

Sawtooth on Osc 1
Pulse (aka square) on Osc 2, shifted one octave down.
Mix the oscs so you hear mostly Osc 1.
Use a bandpass filter, high resonance, key-follow on the highest setting.
Add distortion, delay and reverb.
Automate the filter cutoff while you play notes. |
