Digitalism tore it up at Smartbar...one of my fav live shows in a while. Will have to make it to this.

Digitalism at Smartbar late last year was a lot of fun. Totally packed and they put on a great live set.
I didn't go to SMD's live show (which I heard was great), but did go to the afterparty they spun at afterwards at Funky Buddha Lounge. Honestly, I wasn't impressed at all with the DJ set. The setup at the venue was pretty lame to begin with, but I'd suggest hitting Digitalism over SMD if you're familiar with both but can only make one.
Not to hijack the thread, but Justice and Diplo are also doing shows that same week (Thursday night) and are a bit similar to Digitalism and SMD. I saw Justice live at Metro last year and thought they're show was alright. HOWEVER, the DJ set they did at Smartbar even earlier in the year was by far the most fun I had out at a DJ set all of 2007. I mention this because they are spinning an afterparty set at Sonoteque after their live show at the Riv. You might want to hit that one up ;) |
