| I know from experience that the Tube is a MIRACLE. I swear, not only did it make being a tourist the easiest thing in the world, but the facilities are impeccable. After I came home I hated Atlanta's MARTA even more. |

| Didn't particularly like London when I went there (not a single hot chick either!). But the tube was great though as mentioned. |

| The tube is one of the better subway systems I've ridden on and has an easy to read map, but it's pricey as . |

nyc subways are more efficient...not cleaner, but more efficient. |

| I like London (besides the weather of course) :( Would love to work there for a few years or so in the future. |

Tube is very efficient (if there aren't any railworks). I managed to see pretty much all tourist spots and interesting museums in just 3 days with it. Disadvantage of it imo is the pollution.. London is really dirty. People that have sensitive lungs (like me) really cough their lungs out cos of all the dust and fine particles in the tube system, the exhaust gas of the red buses and so forth..
New York subway was less dirty imo (maybe better ventilation or more open spaces..)
Then again; I work in London every now and then and know how to get round which is an advantage and the city actually has quite a lot to offer :) |

Huh, interesting to see some people say they think NYC subways are cleaner than the tube - I haven't spent a ton of time on either (two weeks in London, probably a total of a week or so in NYC over the years), but I always remember feeling like the subway in NYC was a bit more stressful to deal with and quite a bit dirtier than the tube was.
In any event, I really liked London. True, it was expensive as - but I enjoyed myself until I went broke. :p |

Of course it's expensive, everything is weaker than the pound ><
Had a hell of a time there during Christmas, though. |

i thought the tube was cleaner than the nyc subway. but i was only in london city so i guess it could be different elsewhere.
As for the NYC subway, you may find it more confusing because there are so many trains that run on the same lines and the whole express system can be confusing at first glance. The tube seems simple to use because for the most part you have one train running on a set of tracks. |

The NYC subway maps also don't help either |
