Over the past few years Matthew has been touring the world playing to sold out shows at places such as Fabric as Audion and recently as the opening act for Hot Chip in the UK with his band under his Matthew Dear Big Hands name which showcases his knack for blending dance floor beats with pop vocals. Opening the night is Ghostly label mate Ryan Elliott, who has been gaining international attention for creating sophisticated yet danceable sets. After their set on the main stage Matthew and Ryan, along with AVALON residents Droog, will move up to the more intimate Spider Club for a special afterhour set until the early hours of the morning. Seeing Matthew Dear & Claude Von Stroke tag in there was one of the best times I've had at Avalon. I really like the Spider Room when it pulls a solid crowd of cool people.
