well i assume you are a great experienced actor, with many years and movies under your belt to write keanu reeves off so quickly. you've completely dismissed him from the lead role without even seeing a preview/audition tape.

i'm person one. in this case anyway.
i think keanu reeves is a pretty solid actor that's done some roles in the past.
My Own Private Idaho, The Last Time I Committed Suicide, even The Devil's Advocate are some really good performances by the guy.
I think judging him by like Point Break, Matrix, and all the more mainstream crap is just wrong. He's done good roles in the past through independent films. I guess once one develops a certain "flavor" in Hollywood, they're stuck.
Kind of like any actor that does Bond flicks is ed because he'll always be remembered as a Bond (a reason why so many turned the latest chance to do it). Or like that Harry Potter kid (forget his name) will always be Harry Potter from now on, and other roles will pale in comparison, no matter how he appears on-screen people will always be like "ohh it's that Harry Potter actor".

I think he is as bad as he's ever been in all three of those. ;)
People aren't judging him by one role, Denys - they're judging him based on the fact that he's about as interesting as a cardboard cutout of himself. :p
