jokemode=on
1) you take a kick sample and a bouncy bass one
2) you take a quick attack string sample and you hit it offbeat from the kick
2) you take a some synth pad and put an arp on top to do only 1/8 notes and hit your keyboard ramdomly
jokemode=off
Seriously the best thing would be to ask him but if you train your ear, you can probably figure it out by yourself. Don't expect him to tell you the secrets of his presets, try to make similar tracks yourself. It'll bring you morre satisfaction;).
And Joel, if you read this I dig your stuff:toothless :toothless |

Dont copy him. He is succesful in terms of music, because he created his own "style".
Instead spend your time to create your type of tracks.
Speaking of which, I might start a new style with the name deadcaT :) |

| It really depends on the amount of experiance you have under your belt already, because the farther along you are the more you can realize what techniques the artist is using. I would suggest listening to a track and as it is playing pause in intervals and write down exactly what you heard. I am sure if you post that list up here, someone can give you the technical explanation of how to do something. |

I guess learning how to produce might be a start :conf:
, actually... I think you need to buy a moog voyager, I think he uses one of those for each element in his tracks (that is how he gets the phattness) |

| There is already a deadrat6 release with track names referring to deadmau5 tracks. However (I think) the label recommended to change the name to something different but similar. Yours to found out :). |

Exactly. I loved the track names :D. The tracks weren't really my thing. I have to say they are well produced though :). |
