I remember seeing the camera center on Walt's glasses for a bit at the end of the scene. Gus's eyes locked on something for a moment too... could it be that he somehow saw a glare or something from Walt's glasses?
Or maybe Jesse tipped him off by saying the kid was poisoned? The doctors didn't know wtf it was before.
I'm just theory crafting here, prolly shooting in the dark. However, I've found that the directors of this show do everything for a reason, so who knows |

I saw that too but it's the jesse/walt collab. Getting Jesse to insist he wasn't leaving the hospital in order to get Gus himself there so Walt could plant his bomb. It has to be. On the surface Gus was acting goody goody towards Jesse as a show of sympathy but behind those crazy eyes he knew something was up...or suspected. |

| Damn this show is amazing... I felt so much tension between Gus and Jesse in the chappel. Cant wait for next weeks final episode to this season. I wonder if it will be a tad bit longer? |

Hopefully they'll wrap it all up nicely next season, I mean we got a glimpse of body bags shown at some point in a previous season... |

That's the best running theory I think. Just the reflection off the glasses wouldn't have been enough to tip him off. Lots of harmless things reflect sunlight, but if you combine it with being lured somewhere... I can see Gus thinking like this. Also that little stare-off he had with Jesse was him fishing for clues relating to this I think. |

For sure, that and Jesse's explanation for "He was poisoned" isn't something Gus could chalk up to coincidence given everything that's happening. The smart/sneaky SOB...always 10 steps ahead (like Walt said).
Apparently he was told by Gilligan to play him (Gus Fring) as "pure evil" |

| Hey, good point... How could Jesse have known Brock was poisoned, unless he knew about the effects of ricin from carrying it with intent to use it on Gus? Naturally then he would know of Jesse's intent to kill him, and suspect why he had to go to the hospital to see him. Good thinkin :D |

I started watching this from the first season and was hooked. (Hence the thread) |

As soon as the mother said "it started at the flu, and then it got worse..." I was all like RICIN! He got poisoned!!!!
Anyone else starting to, not hate, but irritated with Walt? I know alot as changed from the beginning, and they've been through alot, and learned and grew alot in some ways, but I kinda miss the passive logical somewhat rational Walt. Now he just seems dickish, like some sort of hero, he's the reason they're in all this really and he's passing it off like he's the sole victim.
I was baffled to how Gus knew what was up myself, couldn't figure it out, maybe just pure gut instinct.
SOOO excited for the season finale! Hope it's longer, at leat 1.5hours without commercials. That would be sweet.
Also, I know they're not supposed to be flashy, but don't you think Jesse would get a better car by now? Walt Jr has a nicer Pt Cruiser FFS!
And actually LOL'ed at this during the show when I watched it, Walt Jr, such a head! :haha:
And what does Jesse drop here?

I just remembered this now but remember when Walt is sitting in his backyard spinning the gun around in circles? Remember how on the last spin it lands on that plant? Well where does ricin come from? It comes from the castor oil plant. So I started thinking that it the only connection I can make as to why Walt started at that plant for so long and why the gun ended up on it. Now I am thinking that Walt could be the one to have poisoned the kid because he is deperate and maybe Gus realized that Walt knew he could use that against him to turn Jessie on him.
What do you think? |
