interesting ... it works somewhat. I like both tracks in their original form so I had to listen to this one.

Somewhat interesting.. and even funnier right now when Chicane's next official single has been confirmed to be "Bruised Water" which was originally a bootleg mashup of "Natasha Bedingfield - I Bruise Easily" and "Saltwater" but has now been reworked into an official production by Nick himself. "Saltwater" has (or will be) reworked a bit for the final release according to the samples i have heard and the overall track is much more clear sounding and improved from the original bootleg.

I don't even like any Natasha Bedingfield songs nor the kind of pop she does but her vocals work with Saltwater. I still hope for a dub version tho.

as much as that mashup kinda worked, i find it depressing that nick is making it official. that would essentially make it a big rehash-for-cash job & saltwater deserves better than that

it's actually not bad. I was really nervous when i heard about it, but it's definitely better than it could be, and as far as im concerned, ok it uses a classic tune in saltwater, but nick & many other people deserve to be in the money more than most of the ****s around now.
