I am not naive and stupid enough to think that my 17 or 18 year old daughter isn't probably already having sex. , I was having sex at 15!
Sure, it wasn't the greatest situation that it happened to be a teacher, but whatever... better it's an educated, stable guy then some moronic, drunken college guy.
A girl at that age can make up her own mind. He should not be punished. |

If anything, these types of situations should be dealt with on a case by case basis. I highly doubt that she was "taken advantage" of.
If anything, the guy should be reprimanded and be put on probation for the school he is teaching at. I am pretty sure there is a rule/law about teachers not having relations with students, so that I can understand him being punished for. However, 2 years in jail is totally overboard and ridiculous. |

| I agree with Theresa. A girl at the age of 17 should be able to give consent to whoever she decides to have intercourse with. 2 years is oerboard. i hope this guy gets to appeal this charge. |
