valid point,

actually browsing tiesto's club tracklist from time to time i see he plays even tech house, using producers like Kaliber, Popof, etc...

good point, there is alot of people that know the music, that dont post on TA. Again, this isn't the niche market that BEB is known for or targeting, cause if there was many many people into trance and follow trance, events like Sensation would have been absolutely packed, and it was flop

Unlike any other event, people go to BEB cause its BEB, this organization has created such a good name for themselves that people just go, if it was armin 3 years in a row, if there was tiesto, any big name, wtv

and it is going to be a good party....btw where are u T.O peeps going to be?....i'll be lonely without Sylvie :tongue2 lollol :D :D

hhahahah i'll send you deets come party with us before if you want!!!

there are tons of us :D:D:D

Tiesto has been playing house for 2 years now and of course good trance is dead, everyone knows that not a big secret

I am not addicted to trance I am addicted to music that sounds cool in my ears. Trance tends to sound cooler in my ears, therefore, i tend to prefer trance. Than again, I also tend to prefer house to hip hop, and hip hop to jazz, and jazz to country, i think you get the point?

I Like Trance and House but usually PREFER trance.

Kthx.

Sensation was pretty jammed at its peak, probably even deemed a success considering Cream (same thing, different name) was MIA for a few years.

I think even the partiers must think this year's theme is lame. Oh well, hopefully the chix are hot and the flintstones are clean. And I'll only set foot in the Tech room when I hear lots of techno in there :p

I actually love Tiesto's radio show. It is always solid.

I remember way back, F1 weekend, the first half of his set was all his popular stuff and the second half was ass-spanking hard and absolutely fabulous!
djmalek
Leon Bolier - Ocean Drive Boulevard
GTR - Mistral (a great classic)

and of course...
Ferry must play:

the thrillseekers - synestheasia (ferry mix)

you think tiesto would have satisfied your trance needs?

you are aware that tiesto is currently playing more and more house in his sets mr.addicted-to-trance?

episode #49 of his ClubLife sets or whatever the it's called, he plays: SNM - Itajai Vibes (WISE remix)...Can't get more housey than WISE.

episode #50: Green Velvet - Flash (original mix). Defo not trance but absolutely horrid techno.

episode #48: Robbie Rivera feat. Denise Rivera - Back To Zero (2008 Juicy mix)......absolutely horrid again but definitely not trance.

here's tiesto playing more house about a year ago...pitched up to around 131bpm:

here's armin playing full on prog (same track as above), not trance, about 6 months ago...played (surprisingly) at a normal, housey speed:

even armin and especially tiesto are getting the picture:

TRANCE IS DEAD!

Here comes StereoHead stating her opinions as facts, old news....

I don't know how many times you have heard Tiesto, and I have never seen him live myself, but according to a lot of people I know, some people on TOTA and some of my friends from Europe I heard that he played an absolutely incredible set of classics and good 2007 tracks in his 2008 Feb23 Trance Energy set. There is a review by some guy on TOTA and he put it down pretty well on what Tiesto can do. The guy made something like 30000 people in one room jump out of their minds for a period of 3 hours. If you just go look up some Tiesto Trance energy videos on youtube you can see what I am talking about. Describing him in words is not an easy thing to do. Tiesto was not spinning much house hence the tracklist of Trance energy and people were eating it up.

I mean you can start making excuses that they were all pilled out and stuff, but the truth is, there are a lot of hardcore trance fans just like there are a lot of you(house fans).

And saying that trance is dead because Armin and Tiesto played a house track here and there does not make a proper argument.

I think Habsfan put it really well in the TOTA forum on the perspective on some Montrealers on these parties.

Honestly, I've been in the EDM scene in Montreal since 2000 and I still look forward to events like Bal en Blanc. Trust me, you're gonna be blown away ;)

What tiesto plays live, and what he plays on his radio show are two totally different things. Him live is very tiesto trance (if you know what i mean) and is usually not my cup of tea, but i still hear a banging set every now and again. As for his radio show, it it totally different from his live sets, he goes into alot more house and techno, as well as trance.

probably the only reason why it was a remote success, but it doesnt even come close to Cream 04...Cream 04 had way more people, wayyyyyyyyyy better vibe, better everything (man if i can relive that moment :( )

Ya i was afraid of that....and expected....last time at resolution when he was on he must have played all of his productions, one of the worst sets i've heard...

he should play more like his radioshow live....better than a every-song-tiesto-ever-made-set
