Its not even american. Just wondering how much experiance you have with american cars. A lot of the current ones are bland and boring but there are some quality models. The older types should never die off. IMO

Im more of a fan of the OG 59-72 Elcaminos. I really like what Aus is doing with the Holdens and Ford FPV's. Some really sweet cars. I dont mind this version.

OMG it's like a language within a language
I feel like I'm in Nepal or something
I don't understand where guys learn to talk like this...

They're both pretty ugly. Who the hell would still want a car that looks like that :wtf:

GM's on the way back, they just need a few more years. But look at the stuff they're putting out in the last year or so vs. before that. Night and day. (Check out the Caddy CTS Coupe Concept).
Ford's about 2 years behind GM transitioning to global architecture and Chrysler, well, they're even further back.

Guess what just got the best in class midsize family sedan across the board from the top US car Mags (who, believe it or not, are traditionally euro-slanted anyway)...not the Camry, not the Accord...but the '08 Chevy Malibu of all things.
Haven't driven it, but on looks alone, I'd rather pay for that than the other bland options in that class.

I like "ugly" cars though. Especially when its got a LS1 V8 from a vette and RWD. Smoke city!

Ufff, WTF is that? Looks stupid IMO. My girlfriend has an '80 El Camino, much better looking than this one, although the 80's version isn't super-pretty, it's still better than this new one.

Your girlfriend drives an el camino? Thats pretty sick. I'm impressed.

Really, pontiac should focus on designing cars that don't look like crap and use cheap plastic. It's because all their finance guys control their cars. Have you guys seen the inside of the solstice? It looks like cheap fisher price junk.

American cars have potential but they need to make some major changes and try something risky. Dodge has come out with some good cars... challenger anyone?

Jeep too:

Plus, Jeeps lifetime powertrain warranty is pretty impressive.

All in all, GM and Ford have a LONG way to go. Ford especially - I have a rental mustang and it drives like beat-up station wagon.

the el camino is my favorite car.

68 or 69 are the best years imo.

this one, i duno. makes me sad really.

I like the body on the Challenger, but the interior is just so uninspired. Every single GM has the same boring plasticy interior.

At least its not badged as a El Camino. Its just a G8 with ute bed. Seeing as most folks with big ass trucks around here never go off road with them, this makes more sence.

this is the one i'm hoping for.
