because I don't give a about anything else but making music.
It`s just what I do. Can`t stop it and can`t avoid it. |

Basically what Limit said there.
I never chose to start producing, it's something I've been involved with ever since I was a kid. It's all I really know.
I'd be producing even if nobody else in the world would get to hear the tracks, it's just something I need to do. |

To be honest I do not know why this my primary hobby. I don't really listen to music, yet I spend all my time and money on gear and learning more about the trade.
I think if I sat down and figured out why, I would come up with a blank and flip out to the fact I've spent so much time and money doing this. |

| Mostly for my own entertainment. I have always enjoyed learning how different things work and having a good final result feels really great. You know, kind of like "that sounds pretty damn good, and I made it!" I don't have any musical talent and I'm not that creative, so I know I won't become famous with it (neither am I trying to). |

I become insane when I don't produce for more than 2 weeks.
I start drumming on everything I have around me. Humming melodies and pretending I can beatbox. I need music production to keep me from going insane. |
haha have the exact same problem...
music is our life. without it, we cant live. |

Do you just want to get some dance floors moving? |
Those two and I just simply love producing. At first I was one of those "wow, this is cool, I gotta try it too" guys but later I fell in love with it.
Haven't had very many ideas in a while so I have been taking a little break from producing. |

I do it because its fun. It is also something where I see constant improvement and development and that in itself is a satisfying experience to relive frequently.
I also like building things and making things and find this rewarding in itself. It doesn't feel like work and its a sight more productive than playing counter-strike all day. |

I've asked myself this sometimes. :)
Producing is my therapy. As much as I work and go to school, producing is the one thing I do to get away and relax. I love music (in general, edm in particular) and I think the other thing that motivates me is the non-stop learning - it's challenging and I like that. I would love to get some dance floors moving, and sure, some money would be great, too. But I already make really good money so this is more of a "hobby" I guess... but it's been the most expensive and time consuming hobby I've ever had. I've kicked around the idea of building a professional studio - but not entirely decided on that yet. |

| I enjoy trying to make music, trying to put the ideas in my head into something that sounds good, the way I want it. Sadly it doesn't always work out that way, but I've still got A LOT of learning to do. And it's fun to have others listen to what I've come up with. |

I originally started to produce for fame and wealth, during this phase, I solely produced rap, hip hop, and R&B instrumentals.
Sometime during the beginning of last year, I began to produce trance music as a hobby. It was then, that a few friends of mine asked me to throw some of the tracks I was working on onto a CD. This had me leaning more towards the reason of moving dance floors and evoking emotion into my tracks. I also enjoy programming synthesizers and manipulating sound. |

I use to play guitar in a heavy metal band (local) the progression into electronic music just seemed like a natural fit for me.
The music fascinates me, every aspect of it, the more I learn about making electronic music, the more addicted I become to it.
I really have no intentions of 'making it big' I have a great day time job that pays the bills, for me it's all about expressing my thoughts through music and overcoming the challenges involved with learning the art form.
I can literally burn off hours and hours when I'm creating music. |

| First and foremost I produce because I love making music. I have pictures from 1993 with me wearing grunge band t-shirts. I must've been all of 12 or 13 at the time. I play guitar, keyboards, and violin, and music has always been my emotional outlet. I produce to try to touch people's lives. Most of my songs tend to focus on deep-seated emotion and unconditional beauty. I feel that if my music can reach even one person, then it is all worth it. |
