All right i´m starting this thread to find out wich is the most hard one to learn, so far i´ve tried reason, logic, and ableton live but personally i think is logic pro.. i know they do the same thing in the end, but is worth to mention, i started back with ableton live, but to be honest for me is better to use it for what its name is wich would be live performances or djing, and some people say that FL is the best one to make drumm and beat patterns so yeah what do you guys think... as i always said comments are very welcome :D

you should definately buy sonar. it is by far the easiest daw to use.

fl studio, reason and ejay are too difficult imo.

I ditched MTV Music Generator for Reason. Learning curve was exponential.

probably one of the programs that takes more programming skills like cSound or Max/MSP...comparatively reason, ableton, fruity loops are all pretty easy. you get immediate results without a lot of thought.

but as always, more difficult often means greater flexibility...

what about logic pro, no one has mentioned, i´m learning to use it, and some stuff seems very graphic orientated, some is just hard to get, and i´m not going to go into one vs the other one cause is endless.... it seems apple has done a great improvement on the GUI
Aldanor
Max/MSP.

impulse tracker. I never really cracked that one. I think that if you understand the logic in the interfaces of reasn/cubase et all, you can easily adjust to any and all of them. however, i find logic to be a lot harder to setup than any of the alternatives that i know if and it is not available for real computers, so i use cubase.

real computers? please don´t start the mac vs pc thing, just don´t lol, :eyespop: :nervous: :tongue3 on the other hand, for what i´ve done my research it seems that logic offers more non third party vst, au, etc...
p.s: Mac is way better just kidding :o

cSound, SuperCollider, Max/MSP, PureData, etc.

It's easy enough generating a sine wave in those, but try doing anything complicated. ;)
