Mods added are: Qarl's texture pack v.3.1, Qarl's depth of field, paralax occlusion mapping. The texture pack adds 1.7GB of new LARGE textures. The original ones are in 256x256 and 512x512, Qarls are 4096x4096 and the difference is (quite obviously) breathtaking, espcially coupled with paralax mapping. The depth of field is a matter of taste, i love it even if it IS fake, it works really well in realtime 60fps.
all avaible at www.tesnexus.com and the best thing is that you dont need a nasa class computer, but for the texture pack, the graphics card should have atleast 512mb ram. My sys spec are in the crysis thread and i have capped the framrate at 60 and my system doesnt break sweat over it.
This is the primary reason that i prefer pc gaming over consoles. that and "controllers" doesnt control compared to WSAD+laser mau5 :D |
