The Detroit Electronic Music Festival
3 days, 3 nights, techno, techno, DnB, Hip-Hop, maybe a little bootie bass, after parties, bad food, cheap hotels, fun people.
I didn't know if you were serious, but here is the info anyways. I've been three times and it just keeps getting better! If you can manage to find tickets to any party thrown by Minus or Paxahau, you are in for a fun evening. The festival is awsome, and the afterparties are usually just as much if not more fun. I know a lot of people from this forum attended a party attended my Matthew Dear last year that I think will go down as one of the craziest ever thrown during one of these weekends. I went to the Richie Hawtin/Minus party at the MOCAD and it was pretty nuts as well.
Anyways, look it up, do some research, ask more questions!

P.S. Rubin, I believe there was also an afterparty at Bleu last year that included both trance and lazers. I'm sure you were there. |

| funny you guys are mocking me in regard to trance... when I got to DEMF last year and was walking around downtown - I swear I hadn't seen that many candyravers since the 90's. glowsticks, pacifiers, braids, overalls, the whole nine yards. peace, |

That about sums it up, except this year the hotels aren't so cheap :(
I will definitely be making my way from Canada again this year for DEMF. I have had far too much fun the last 2 yrs to miss this one. Plus Joris Voorn @ DEMF... I cannot miss him! |
