Meh.. I was in the main room for Domain and Pettigrew's opening set .. Parts of it i actually liked near the very end of it.. I heard a huge screw up near the end.. I know it happens once in a while.. But NOT IN ABLETON lol.. But still i usually cant stand those 2 but i gotta say they successfully warmed up the crowd for sure..
Guetta..... I'm not a fan of.. BUT i noticed the guy is preeetty talented when it comes to using the mixer and fking around with tracks... when he came on it was pretty cool how he opened up... really "Moby like" opening.
The crowd disgusted me which is why i totally didnt have fun.. Honestly guys.. for those who want to know. Its the worst crowd i have ever seen inside a club at one time. I'm telling you.. Literally walking up the stairs, Some drunk wops were screaming that ing soccer anthem as loud as they possibly could. I hope im not the only one , but thats how i felt 100%.. People were pushing SO hard thru the overpacked main room.. ahhhh.
I'm telling u ... these are people that literally went MENTAL when Dave spoon - At night came on.. But were probably wondering where the "Bad girl at night" vocals disappeared to lol
The Ballroom totally KICKED ASS! .. i was there just till when Simon came on so i saw most of Jay's set.. which was awesome as always.. he always does a sick job warming up the crowd too, even though it didnt get FULL in there till a bit later on..
Hope Guv was better!! |

Honestly...
the BALLROOM was where it was at!
The music was non-stop madness all night long from the time we got there for Simon Jain's set till the time we left after Funkagenda!
The top floor was probably the best floor all night. Had the amazing beats of the ballroom, and a step from the balcony to the main room! There was so mch room to dAnce!!
We could see that the main room was completely packed from up there and Sketchbag mentioned how the main floor looked like a damn moshpit!
overall had a great night :D |

Mainroom was a full gong show....didn't even bother trying. never liked guetta anyways...way too cheesey for me. Funkagenda killed the Ballroom.
Peace Division big no shows?? what happened there? |

| Yeh. I stayed in the Ballroom until 4AM. Only went downstairs when Ceballos was on and the Z103 crowd's all gone. Had a great time. I think I officially like CiRCA better than guv now. Last night's crowd is not typical. Their sound system beat the crap out of KoolHaus and Guv main room. The crowd's attitude (in Ballroom anyway) was good and the bathroom was still usable by 5AM. I actually saw a clean toilet seat. :p |

guetta is a good crossover dj. And the more mainstream people that exist, the more chance there is for a viable underground scene. Tis why europe always has so much going on!
I say bring on the z103 crowd as long as they dont discover the good parties!! (or completely change their attitude... but i wont hold my breath on that one LOL) |

Yeah you definitely need people like Guetta to bring new people into the EDM scene.
I don't think anyone here can say that someone like Lee Burridge was the first person you heard that made you like house music and got you into the whole scene
I know I first listened to Tiesto, Guetta, PVD on the radio at first and then you realise you like this genre of music and then you find out about all the other DJs the various genres have to offer. I didn't even know what 'techno' was until like 2 years ago and if I hadnt first listened to the mainstream on the radio in the first place I probably never would have.
So these guys might not be your favorite DJs but they definitely serve a huge purpose in the EDM scene |
