boo hoo, so what CZ got raided for drugs; There was 150 people there (original raid) and they found $30K worth of drugs. Thats an average of $200 of drugs per person, thats huge.
I doubt there is any place in the city that has more drugs per person.... obviously the raid was justified.
I like CZ for the music and all but theres a lot of wrong with the place too. I don't even mind the idea of the raids because they take out all the dangerous/sketchy people that are just there to sell/do drugs and this will allow those who are there for the music to enjoy it in peace.
Yeah every place has some amount of drugs but not $200 per person. How can you have the attitude like 'I cant believe CZ got raided for drugs, tons of places in Toronto have drugs, why didnt they raid those'.... for a place such as the ACC to be equally as drug infested as CZ it would have to have (18.5k) x 200 = $3.7M
Obviously this is not the case.

they shouldnt just keep raiding the place until there is 0% drug usage...

Except none of those places have a city-wide reputation for being a drug haven. And those kinds of reputations don't come out of thin air.
I'm actually curious as to how many raids it will take before the cops nab 0 people dealing drugs. Let's start the betting at 3 raids. |

a bad example at best.
police ALWAYS exaggerate to the media the street value of drugs taken in a seizure or raid.
secondly, you can be sure that not everyone was holding an average of 'x' amount of drugs.
there are several people in there who would hold hundreds/ possibly thousands (in police value) more than others. i could tell you who, but who knows who reads this board.
i think this may slow things down there a bit, but it won't close it, especially if they start bringing in bigger names. it may end up like some suggested, better than ever.
