C-los = a happy ass camper right now.
Got an email from one of the senior associate architects and HR manager at Gensler Architects, and I got hired as an assistant architect in the department of urban design for the summer baby!

....tears. This is finally coming together.

Architecture is a bitch people. It really is. Spending nights in a college with nothing but the smell of wood, glue, lockers and old wall material, under you drafting table (which by the way have chewed gum stuck underneath them that date back to the early 1700's), with a sleeping bag is not fun. You set your cell phone at 1am..to go off at 5am. Wake up, take the elevator to the third floor where the vending machines are, buy an OJ and a granola bar (that's IF the machine isn't empty) and back to your studio to work on your project again really and truly gets old after a few years. To get hired as an assistant designer is probably one of the greatest feelings a student can have. I can't even begin to tell you the number of times I've told myself "ok screw this...no more. I'm effin' sick of all of it". I've been so stressed out, I've thrown nearly-completed projects out of my car on I-45 south, heading to my place. I shredded blueprints that have taken me MONTHS, not weeks, to complete. I've slammed things against walls, have burned/broken a few tools, and above all have had many days where i come home and my mood from the morning had changed to reveal the devil in disgiuse, seriously.

Anyways, the trip to Finland with the dad is now postponed (he was gonna do work over there). I dont care...I'll do that later, when Nicole and I get married. I think I'll take her there for our honeymoon.

to some extent i can relate? but you're in a different perspective. I can feel your anger, your pain and your suffering. It's blatant on your writing, but it's honest; at least. Honest writing seldom comes specially in these uncertain times.

Cheers to having a major that sucks ass. I feel your pain. I too know how it is like to wake up every day wanting to kill yourself or change your major to business or liberal arts.

I went to pets-mart, but someone stole my idea of the built-in automatic water dispenser in the 5'X6' dog house.
