| Sounds like a bunch of crap to me. But then again, I don't spend much time on Live. A lot of my friends at work bitch about cheaters. I played Halo 3 with them once, and kicked their asses. Next thing, they're calling me a cheater, and I don't even own a 360. Basically, far too many people crying "wolf" when really their lack of skill is the only thing happening. Also, I love the fact that there are a dozen links cross-referencing each other about this on various game sites, and yet not a single one of them is posting the ACTUAL criteria use to measure this "cheating". I dunno if its just me, but I'd definitely like to see what the official flags to look for are. |

What you're talking about we refer to as in the real world as "Whiners" or "Poor losers". Those Halo 3 players couldn't take the fact that they were beaten. What this is talking about is those "Whiners and Poor Losers" going to any length to cheat and getting revenge. Either way, cheaters never prosper. |

You COULD say that, but I'd like to also support the pure pain a hardcore gamer will feel once he sees his Gamerscore set at 0, when I'm sure he was spending countless hours doing countless tasks in countless games to get that number as high as they could. I'd say this PLUS the 'cheater' label together makes a big, fatass cake worthy of eating. |

the flags are based on three things:
game data
connection history
feedback
#1: if you have 12000 shots fired with a sniper rifle in a 10-minute game, something is wrong.
#2: if 75% of your opponents get disconnected, but you never do, something is up.
#3: if enough people badmouth you, you're in , too. [I know this because I've been suspended for "cheating" before after a great 1-2 week streak.]
Also, you're guilty by association for the first 2. |

This is part of why online gaming kinda sucks. I mean, I love it, but the fact of the matter is, the world is full of sore losers (ESPECIALLY gamers), and if enough of them band together, like what happened to you here ends up being the result. Sucks you got punished for, ya know, being good at a game. |
