Robert Babicz on production and mastering
Rob Acid in the studio discussing mastering and production techniques

Lots of useful insights into how Babicz approaches the mastering of a track. He talks about not using mastering plug-ins or multiband compressors but instead using hardware and even modifying his equipment for better results.

I always loved his productions but I never realised he was that big into mastering etc. Good for him!

Cheers

it's cool to see that some people take production that seriously

he hit the hammer on the nail about presets, i have been saying that for some time... you can tell a pro producer from an amateur when all their synth sounds are so crisp and clear, since they built them from the ground up.. sure you can easily make some cool sounds by screwing around with presets and adding filters etc., but this sacrifices so much quality.

also, he looks like an emo michael moore
