| I remember talking to Jay about trying this at Guv. Sounds like the perfect idea.. just show up with a binder of cds and headphones and your good to go. What entrance was Deadmau5 taking when he got all the hassle? |

I brought richie hawtin to guv one time and we got hassled at the door. It was actually quite funny!
Best way i ever got into raves and clubs was because i would be friends with the dj playing and id be hoofing his record box into the club. 5 mins of work to save $20 was a good deal in my books!
But i guess it wouldnt work in this day and age... damn mp3s strike again! haha |

I could never pretend to be a DJ, although I have pretended to be a promoter for Guvernment when I went to the Boom Boom Room in Windsor with a massive line up... needless to say we walked right in :D

I remember once going into zone with Addy and this guy was in the booth just standing there...
Addy played his set with this dude just standing there behind him with his record bag...
At 10am, Dekoze was supposed to come on but he was not there yet so this guy says to Addy..."I can go on whenever you like"...
Addy's says who are you???
Buddy says he's arranged with the owner via letters...LETTERS!!!...That he can play there whenever...
Long story short...Addy basically told him to off in a semi polite way and the guy took his bag and split..
Addy and I just stood there wondering how ppl got the nerve...
Dekoze showed up soon after and the three of us had a good laugh...
Balls though...I'll give him that... |
