You've gotta love Myspace. As a music networking site, it doesn't get much
better. The music industry democracised by the wonderful World Wide
Interweb. Here at Therapy HQ we're indebted to to the Myspace phenomenon
more than most for it was there that Angelique met Jamie Stevens and became
cyberfriends. Angelique, an Ibiza based DJ singer songwriter and Jamie,
probably best known as one third of top Australian electronic live act
Infusion, exchanged some music and lo and behold, within weeks, Jamie had
offered to remix the track you now have here, 'Nothing At All'. Thank God
for Rupert Murdoch!(Sorry, can we retract that? Infact, that's a line that
displays every shade of wrong!)
Jamie delivers two mixes, one is a full on vocal excursion that fully
utilises Angelique's song, riding over a big energetic bassline that builds
and builds throughout the track. The Dub takes us on a whole different
journey altogether. Ditching the song completely and using scattered breathy
vocals Jamie takes us on an acid tinged techno trip full of pulsating sounds
and funked up rhythms.
And as if that wasn't enough to wet your whistle, we only went and got Mr
Tiger Stripes himself, to complete the package. Talk about a cherry on top.
What we have here is the key vocal parts layered over a drum heavy driving
percussive track that sits somewhere between that land of Tech-House and
techno.
The final part of the package is an accapella for you to edit, mess about
with or even do your own remix!!! (which of course we would love to hear)
.... You know where we are.

Angel Freq is Ibiza based singer Angelique who has teamed up here with Infusion’s Jamie Stevens to form a vocal track that could do some damage on the White Isle this summer. Angelique’s ethereal vocal is offset by some wonderful melodic touches and chord changes from Stevens in an emotive, melancholy production. Stevens dub chops the vocal to pieces as he takes the cut into bleepy, techno territory while Tiger Stripe’s effort is rolling percussive house with the vocal standing out.
