Ads vs. Reality

This video was just reposted to Digg today and it got me thinking as to whether you all might have some similar videos or images:

I'd particularly like to see it done for American products - just because I think they're often times every bit as bad (and far, far worse) than some in the above video.

Anyone got anything similar to this worth checking out?

:conf:

I actually grew up a couple blocks from a professional marketing photography studio and had the opportunity to be shown through it by a friend of our families, and just seeing and hearing how they go about making food for ads look appealing was some of the craziest I had ever heard.

The one process that really stood out to me was how they did turkey. If I remember correctly they would cook the turkey for a much, much shorter period of time at a much higher temperature to get a kind of even browning on it, then as soon as they had the finish they wanted they basically took it out and made a plastinate with it (somewhat like the Body Worlds exhibit doing the museum tour now).

Basically the guy showing me around let me know how irritating it was to play with all this food and not be able to eat it. I admit it, I lol'd.
