I'm soaked

I had to take my car to the repair shop today and, when I was on my way to work, it rained... and I mean it. Despite the fact that the dry season was supposed to have started last week, it was the kind of storm that would drive Tubularbills _nuts_ :D
But, bad puns aside, it was gold. I really love the rain and I feel so much better now... plus, the next rain will probably be around September, so I'd better enjoy these showers while I can.
Anyway, do you like the rain?Does it rain a lot where you live? Does that kind of thing make you feel more "alive"? :) |

This just boggles my mind to no end. It rains/snows practically every week of the year here. |

the weather around here hates me
its a curse, like seriously.
during the summer, i work as a lifeguard. therefore, if it rains/thunders etc we close the pool but stay there in case it clears up, so rain/thunder = get paid the same amount to do whatever the i want, play board games and cards and or read or whatever. so during the summer, rain and thunder are amazing
aaaaaand, during the rest of the year I work delivery, so rain is a MAJOR pain in the ass. less so now that my car doesn't die when it rains, but still. tips are sometimes better, and it's guaranteed that me feet will be soaked through, not to mention that my eyes aren't great so driving in the rain at night's a pain
now, with that in mind. two summers ago, and the summer before that, i went the entire summer without it raining a single day while i was at work. and for one of the summers it rained or thundered all but ONE of my days off all summer and didn't thunder a single say i was at work
and i only work fridays during the school year since i got classes, and it rained or snowed...i think 9 fridays in a row. it wasn't particularly rainy the rest of the time, just EVERY ing friday, ty weather.
cor version: me and the weather ain't so tight |

| I love, love, love rain. I really don't think I could've picked a better place to live for it, either. Sure, constant rain is a common misconception, but it still rains more frequently than other places. Huge downpours are sweet, and (as weird as it'll sound) I love the smell when it starts to rain on hot, dry pavement. |

Funny thing around here is, you appreciate a nice sunny day so much. I have a clear view of a good chunk of I-5 and on certain sunny days you can tell that everyone got off early because the traffic starts a couple hours early. I hate driving in the rain though. Nearly T'd a car that pulled out in front of me (on 145th, east of I-5) because the roads get so slick when they're wet. But... yeah, you don't take a sunny day for granted around here, it seems. It actually snowed last night, that was strange. |
