View this Thread in Original format
Dean Millson

Pig & Dan (Cocoon, Spain) are recognized worldwide as major players in the underground techno and progressive scenes both as DJs and producers.

Their first joint productions immediately made it into the record cases of Laurent Garnier, Sander Kleinenberg, Deep Dish and John Digweed. As well as DJs and Producers the duo oversee labels, “Submission" and minimal imprint "Sonic Society" which quickly gained support from people like Sven Väth, Loco Dice & M.A.N.D.Y. Pig & Dan’s production highlight culminated in their recent remix work for Underworld on Underworldlive.com. More recently "On to the Beat" and "After Ibiza" on Cocoon Recordings caused a sensation followed by their “Imagine” long player also on Cocoon Recordings. Pig & Dan have quickly proven to be masters of their trade, and with their production sound and style, have been compared to the perfection of artists like Guido Schneider and Anders Trentemøller.

Pretty Simple brings you more delicious sounds with Pig & Dan on Anzac Day Eve, Thursday 24th April @ Ffour.

Support by Interpulse (LIVE), Steve Ward (LIVE), Dave Pham, Dean Millson, Gavin Martin, U-One, Lister Cooray, DXM Crew, Mike TV, Michael Lorimer.

if oliver lieb still played trance - he'd play heaps of these guys .

if you are serious trance lover....Go to this...I love these guys...heavy deep kick and bass with great melodies running thru it, all with a rawness that competes with french steak.

any trance head who doesn't quite get this techno thing..but wants to see what the fuss is about...GO

Very odd to see them on a Kink line up.

You guys must be pushing a different sound to Melbourne Kink ;)

kink sydney has always had a massive variety of sounds, scott knows and enjoys good music but is a good businessman at the same time .. sometimes you will have fruity like bang gang while other times you get some really eclectic music ie:

Tito (France) - Dec 04
Spencer Parker (Tsuba) - March 05, November 05,06 & June 07
David Duriez - July 05
Kiko - August 05
Paul Woolford - November 05
Audiofly - December 05
Oliver Huntemann - February 06, March 07 (he enjoyed KINK so much he came after FMF and played for free)
Dirt Crew - March 06
Danny Howells - May 06
Mike Monday - Dec 06
Clive Henry - Feb 07
Kevin Griffith (Tsuba) - March 07
DJ T - April 07
Zoo Brazil - June 07
Heidi - October 07

plus we have the tek-funk sideroom which is tech house/minimal/techno etc .. think they have the sideroom in melb too (if its still running) but the music policy isnt as open .. smut on the sundays used to get some super acts too amongst the full blown electro cheese garbage

I used to love Kink in Sydney :) Especially the breaks room!

There are a lot of parties missing in that list! Must be filled with cheese ;)

Regardless, if you are playing I want to be there :tongue3
