The Worst Case Scenario Mix

I had a nice idea there for all the budding DJ's out there. You would put your PC or mp3 player on shuffle and then use the first 5,10,15,whatever tracks that came up and incorporate them into a mix no matter how obscure you think they would sound. I reckon it could either be a disaster or showcase some of the more talented Djs out there and their bags of Cre A tiv a teeeeee.
you would have to have a quick video clip of you shuffling through the sogs on your pc to prove it's not all a big fix, but otherwise i reckon it would be quite nice.
Although Iron Maiden isn't going to beatmatch with Booka Shade, you dont have to have the whole song. You can use little clips, as long as they were all incorporated and in that order.

I'm going to be brutally frank and say I can't think of a less enjoyable way to mix.
I seem to remember a mixing competition with pre-chosen tracks that was done here maybe a year or so ago. That had initial great response but turned to a pile of e when everyone who was interested became uninterested.
Given that, I don't think this stands a chance. |

If anyone is interested in hearing something along the lines of this, Jody Wisternoff did an awesome job at mixing random downtempo tracks together, there's everything here from Annie Lennox to Mozart and Run DMC to Public Enemy. Try it - you might like it.
