I can remember Digs playing this when I saw him in February last year, and that breakdown is immense; it feels like some amazing intergalactic/earth-changing event is about to occur. I was rather disappointed then that the Stereo Club Mix didn't turn out to be like this, even though it is a good version in its own right.
Interested to hear more about the new mixes :)
ing loved that version. Was also disappointed with the released material. There's just something about the breakdown that had this immense feeling. I think you can relate it to the part in the third Matrix where the city is partying like crazy because they know it might be their last night alive. Gay analogy, I know.

Yeah i heard him play that mix at Lush! and it was immense to actually FEEL the music
Why do they insist on ing keeping back these awesome versions and release weaker, versions.
Spacebird was another one (not to hijack the thread). Like seriously wtf?

Might not be Radio Slave's mix. I think if it was his he would have played it out in Miami for sure. Awesome AWESOME remix though

It's too epic to be Radioslave's remix.
I too think it's Guy J. He did a similar job on Sasha's Mongoose (which is nuts).

Heard this on Saturday @ Transitions. Very sick remix, but I still love the original more. :)

Hehe, well I've only seen the first Matrix; didn't get round to see the following two which, from what I've heard, is no great shame ;)
Despite the immense breakdown appearing in the 25 minute version of Gridlock, when the bass kicked back in it was quite the disappointment, as you say, in comparison to the version Digweed had been touring with late 06/early 07.

I saw some videos on youtube from his gig at Lush! and it looked quality. I saw him at Shindig, Newcastle very soon afterwards and loved hearing Gridlock in this form; as you point out, it is unfortunate that they decided to withhold (at least to date) this superior version from a receptive public.

It was most likely an early work in progress version of the track, which Digweed tested out then changed.

diggers dropped this in early march when he was down here in melbourne at both his private gig and a massive party called future music festival he played at. pretty epic goes on for a bit. still havent decided whether i like it. i guess im waiting til it gets released before i make my decision.
DOOMBOT
Just like Dubfire's original remix of Spacebird, I'm willing to bet this bomb (Gridlock's first known version) won't see a release as well.
