Anyone going? I am, can't want. £6 too:D

Unfortunately, no :( I am curious though; how does he play a liveset? Is it music to dance to? Does he DJ live, or how does he perform a live set? I'd imagine it to be more of a concert than a party?

But he was DEFINITELY my favourite artists of 2007. I only discovered him last year, and 'Goodbye' was one of the best albums I have ever, ever heard. Up there with FFTMC in my list. I also bought 'Trains Passing By' the other week, but I think I prefer 'Goodbye'

His remixes are amazing too

Revtone - Love Movement
Sia - Breathe Me
(Can't rememebr the artists!) - Strawberries

I'm sure you'll have a great time. Please post pics / vids if you can :)

I'd go if it wasn't about 2,000 miles away (exaggeration).

Very good night. It was a bit too loud at times for the music style, the engineer wasn't the best.

But Ulrich's performance was flawless. Tracks were almost all from a strangely isolated place and goodbye with some new bits added to make the live performance not just a reiteration of the album tracks. Did an encore with 'On my own', was awesome

Nice guy too, had a chat with him at the end and got a free CD of a load of his remixes. He hung around for at least 30 mins talking to people, I like to see that. But he does talk almost exactly like 'Herr Lip' from League of Gentlemen!

Sounds like it was great!

Was it live instrumental performance? Would love to hear some samples of the CD he gave you if there's anything new / unreleased on there...

He was running what looked like Ableton using a midi controller with some cheeky outboard fx units too. He was playing most of the lead riffs on the controller then mucking around with several other channels in the mix with the fx units. Good performance.
