Hi's-Danny Howells Dig Deeper party. Banging house for the 1st 3hours and last hour and absolute minding techno fro the 3 hours in between. Never heard anyone so on point ever and every track from 1am-4am was absolute madness. By far best set i've ever heard live.
Sasha & Digweed at mansion. I was expecting small dance floor and ty ass crowd but it was nothing like that at all. Got in the line fine(Except for Samoa Joe being a dick about it). The opener played an awesome set. Sasha was having problems with his controller and godbless that b/c he absolutely shut me up criticizing him the last few shows. He needs to go back to cdjs and give up that abelton . The last two hours of that show were the highlight.
Sebo K at Flying Circus. Definitely impressed the hell out of me. I gave him major props for starting out My WMC in proper fashion. Banging techno set.
Mistress Barbara at AM Only. Great ing set. I don't know if i was more mesmorized by her or the amazing set she put on. nothing but dirty banging techno.
Digweed suprise set at AM Only. Killer set.
Green Velvet at AM Only. Played a really great set with all sorts of different vibes to it which might sound like it was all over the place but in reality it was banging. Played an amazing track that had a banging ass saxophone riff with a bad ass bassline.
Digweed and CAttaneo Bedrock night. Nothing but deep druggy progressive music all night. Didn't stay too long since I got to see digweed twice but enjoyed the time i was there.
Droog at the Hallucination party. best set of the night :)
Pier Gucci at Flying circus. Filthy ass tribal the whole set. Loved it.
Lows-
Three at Pawnshop. I was really expecting a lot from his last show at Hydepark cafe i saw him at with sasha. His set was pretty boring and it never really went anywhere.
Radioslave at Pawnshop. I really hope this isn't how he always plays out b/c he honestly bored the piss out of me. I've never seen anyone clear a room that fast. He basically would play the same track for the duration of the whole song which some of you know that a lot of his tracks venture into 11+ minute mark. I understand what he was trying to do but he honestly needs to work on his cuing if thats how he always plays.
BBC Radio 1 Party. I kinda knew what i was getting into when i bought the tickets with the crappy lineup but oh man, what a waste of ing money. Nothing but ing cheese the whole time and I literally left after an hour of being there. Prydz played for like 40 minutes. Pretty damn boring set. Only track I enjoyed was his opener. The vocals were "this is a journey, this is a journey, this is a journey........etc with a really loud bassline.
I can also agree with hawtin but at the AM only party with magda. Both kept turning off the bass every minute. was annoying the hell out of me. Magda also i hope was a fluke b/c she kept turning up the gain and cutting of the bass and trainwrecked a good amount of times. |

Pete Tong/Annie Mac - Thought Tong was going to let others DJ, so wrong, dude wouldnt shut up either. Annie Mac should just retire. She is ing horrendous and everyone wanted to throw at her because she killed the vibe at the party. |

i couldn't agree with you more. radio 1 party was a huge letdown for me, i went there from noon-5pm. the venue was oversold when we left and there was maybe 300 ppl going in on our way out. the bathroom situation was pretty horrendus as many would agree. they can sell you a drink for $10 yet they can't afford to provide hand sanitizers. the sound behind the pool sucks balls but it was fun to swim for a bit while pete tong was babbling.. also many thanks to eric prydz for making my gf sleep she actually got a tan out of it.

i dont think i'll be going back. i'll spend my money and head overseas to another festival and see how they rock it in the uk. |
i thought WMC is way overhyped. not sure if i'll go back next year either because it was nothing special. overall it was a lot of fun, danced a lot, went to the beach every day i was there.. point is for me it was normal miami, i didn't really feel the techno music madness i was expecting. i care less if there was 20 parties at one night.. and $100 for an event. give me a break. every dj i see in miami or the other corner of the world does not deserve more than $20 at the door. 2 watered down drinks minimum at $12 with a credit card at some clubs with tips included crazy. or maybe i should have got the you pass, i mean it was either you against me and me won.
on a positive note, my best party was hed kandi at nikki beach on saturday. excellent music, excellent vibe, excellent day party. |

Yeh, she completely rocked it from what I saw. I caught the last 20 mins or so of her set then Green Velvet came on and I thought his set was pretty good, nothing spectacular though. Diego, I didn't know you were going to be there! Would have liked to meet you! Oh well! Maybe next year... |

what was your party lineup? i gotta agree with clovis. if you went to the beach every day you probably spent too much time on sobe! i find that the vibe [and clubs] is usually way tier there. the $100 for an event is to be expected. if you can't afford to put up the cash at the WMC then you're not going to have a good time.
my first wmc was fun, but after was way better because i learned to spend more time downtown, bring more cash, and not spend time at the actual beach. (easy for me to say though because im from florida :p) |

thats totally false and noob comment to think that you have to bring cash to have fun at wmc. thats just what the promoters want you to think and is why the prices just keep going up every year. they are totally banking on you suckers.
i spent $200 from tuesday night to sunday and it was the best time ever. i went to lots of free parties that were way better than the $30 and $40 events i went to. expecting to pay is a tourist thing to say. you need to be creative when spending money. ever heard of a flask? |
