I'm interested to see JULES on JS, i think i know what to expect from the other such as PICOTTO, but hopefully JULES plays a blinder which he has been lately:) :)

Jules is coming to Promise in Newcastle in a few weeks, but I don't think I'll bother. I'm not a big fan, and the crowds he brings can be right tossers.

I think he's worth seing, like evil_bastard sadi, it's more the crowd he brings if he's playing somewhere on his own. For example JUDGEMENT SUNDAY, he's playing with other big names and it seems that all the s who think they like TRANCE.

BTW, looking forward to seing PICOTTO @ JS:) :D

Mauro Picotto seems to spend about 90% of the time staring away from his decks, and yet seems to mix perfectly.

At Promise he was reading mobile phones, signing t-shirts, autographs, posing for cameras, and shook virtually everybodys hand, all DURING his set. The rest of the time he was dancing and pulling funny faces etc. I dunno how the he does it, but he is simply AMAZING!

His sets are relentless as well. You'll be lucky if you get two or three breakdowns all night! :D

He's not back at Promise until September or thereabouts I think.

The pioneer mixers they use have BEAT COUNTERS on them, so it only takes a few nudges of the pitch to get the beats runing exact, then he just need to rely on his timing and equalization:D :D

And before you know, he's got loads of time to piss around and pull faces at all of us ED BASTARDS:stongue: :stongue:
evil_bastard
I thought the pros didn't use beatcounters.

Well, from every PIC i've seen on other sites and this site of Dj's spinning (and aslo from what i've seen live) they use the PIONEER DJM-600 4 CHANNEL MIXER which have what they call an AUTO BPM COUNTER and this mixer is awesome which it's why it the INDUSTRY STANDARD!!!
evil_bastard
Teee the charlatans!

Why do a lot of people scoff at beat counters anyway? They only cost about 50 quid to add onto any mixer.

Cos it fundamentaly deprives the ART of it!!
evil_bastard
They should get rid of them then, so the pros have to do a bit of hard work!! They get paid enough for it!
