will ferry be more like a concert, like tiesto's 'elements of life' tour? |
Is Ferry a better dj than Tiesto? Yes. Can he put on a better show? I don't think so.
Tiesto's shows, whether this is due to his larger budget I don't know, are always amazing. His elements of life concert at hammerstein was much better than Ferry's last gig at Pacha (Ferry's show was amazing, so that says a lot about Tiesto's).
Pacha as a venue is better than people on this forum make it out to be (they just like their own company, lol nothing wrong with that, just saying though). You'll get a lot of fist pumpers and frolickers and fobs and eastern europeans at Pacha, but it's still not as bad as Webster Hall. |

| I hate Pacha but I am still going for Ferry. If you have never seen Ferry live I think you should give him a chance. If you cant make it to DC and still don't want to go to Pacha then wait until he has another event at Cielo...but I can't guarantee WHEN that will be. |

I hate pacha.
I hate Pacha
I hate Pacha.
I hope one day that fcking club bruns down.
There is no good club any more in the new york city and dont think there wil be.
Well, may be if we all NYTA gather around and put some money and open our club ha?
I guess this is a good idea.? Because I dont see anybody who is happy with pacha new york city. After crobar shot down, didnt go to any decent events in the new york city. So let build up our own club. Who is in. ;) |

People have been talking about that for years but unfortunately it seems that talk is all it will ever be. Most of us don't have that kind of money or aren't will to go through the hassle and make that type of risk. It's a nice thought but there is a lot involved with it comes to something like this. Zoning, licenses, overhead costs, employees, promotion, bookings, connections, intitial set up, construction, rent, security, fines, equipment.............
Throwing small parties at outdoor venues or existing clubs is more feasable and even then it still takes much work and planning. |

The good club venues in NYC where Ferry used to play, or could play, like Twilo/Spirit, Arc, Roxy, Crobar, and I'll throw in Limelight/Avalon (which I believe he once said was one of his favorites, in an interview), have all closed down. Also, I thought Exit/Ikon/Black/Carbon was a nice space, security check molestation issues notwithstanding.
I believe there are new clubs in the spaces where Crobar (now Mansion) and Spirit (I forget the new name) used to be, but there haven't been many EDM events there.
Webster Hall could work, if they do it up like they did for Ronski Speed and Kyau vs. Albert
Other than that, that leaves Pacha, which is nice when they have the dancers in the showers going on :p |
