Personally, I think you're just picking on my negative posts and overlooking the positive ones (they're there if you look hard enough :p );

Choosing the right parties to go to helps with that quite a bit. If you're not psyched for it then it's kind of hard to come away with a great impression of the party. You're better off coming in with average expectations and getting blown away.
So, in that context, considering Montreal - I'm in for this for sure.

That's another thing. I tend not to get excited for parties because then I might come away thinking that it wasn't that good. I've usually come away more impressed from a party when my expectations were low.

I went in with such low expectations in Montreal when I saw Sasha and Diggers there in Dec and wow was I blown away. Party of the year last year, and I hate Prog!!! They both blew me the away, the amount of great people did help but it was truely the music that I was left flabbergasted.
