i am wondering if this is normal...
ok i am taking live sets from from a friend and putting them on my computer as mp3s at 192k
but when i go and make sure that they work ok....i notice that the MP3s dont seem to play as loud as the CDs...volume level wise....
like say i have my winamp volume set at 50% halfway and listen to his CD and my MP3 of the SAME SET...my MP3 seems not to play as loud....
am i ripping them wrong....or do CDs just happen to play louder then MP3s???????:conf: :conf: :conf: |

| there is a option in cd ripping software called normailize, i think this reduces the volume, but i have never experienced this. it could also be the mixer on ur soundcard to. |

What program do you use? I bought CD-DA extractor and the levels are not noticably different. If you download the program I can hook up any TA's with the serial and keys if needed.
[edit] I forgot, it allows the encoding to go upto 320 kps if needed |
