theresa, i think the klm rumors may have gotten tangled up with alitalia? cause thats all thats on google regarding bankruptcy.
Lilith
Won't do that much to the economy, its already stuffed anyway and for the most part, investors recognise that most airlines are complete dogs for throwing money at.

yep..its too bad the airlines here wont get their act together and be competitive with southwest, jetblue, expressjet, and virgin america.

This is another case of "Theresa saw a news headline" imo.

Abolutely nothing new or bizarre has happened in the airline world at all.

Both Aloha & ATA have been struggling for years, and gas prices have finally caught up to Champion's 727 fleet.

Most people saw this coming.

australia only used to have two big airlines (ansett and qantas). ansett went completely bust a few years back after the travel scare.

we now have three major airlines: virgin, jetstar (domestic) and qantas.

qantas is yet to lose a single civilian passenger, but the competitive pressure in the market has forced them to start servicing their planes in asia. :nervous:

i'm pretty sure airlines everywhere are basically pwnd.
