neat indeed.
about 12 years ago or so, we had someone contact our family...she said she was my mom's sister's daughter who had been adopted out at birth (i.e. she'd be my cousin). the call came about a year or so after my mom's sister died of cancer. so she never got to meet her real biological mother, but got to meet all of us...and it was cool because she fit RIGHT IN with our family. like sense of humour and all. hopefully you'll have that same experience. it'll be kinda scary for her, especially being so much younger than you...so if she is reluctant, please don't try to force her into something she's either 1) not ready for; or 2) not wanting to be a part of [for whatever reason]. best of luck! |
