Mate it could very well have been the Rex club. Still trying to work this out but it never seemed that big ??. There were a few things happening inside my head that night which could very well of distorted my memory of the place :eek:

Rex club is actually not that big at all, and it is in the basement of the Rex theater. Low cielings, hot, sweaty and smokey. Heard they have funktion1 now as well.

It was The rex club !!. HAve since found out as well that I had a stub in my baggage still. What a fluke finding that place off my trolley in a strange city :)
