Recording MP3's?????????????

I'm thinking of recording all of my vinyl to mp3 and selling up & just using the mp3's with my final scratch. However i've recorded some tunes with Sony Sound Forge 7.0 and there's tiny glitches in the mp3's so when you mix them the beats go out of sync. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Or if anyone has done similar to me and how they did it? What programs they used etc? I want the mp3's to be high quality i'm recording at 320 kbps with Sound Forge. Any info appreciated, thanks.

what makes you think you still have the right to play those tunes once you've sold the vinyls? :conf:

I made a post on this problem. I can record at high quality but the beat sync is the problem. I have soundforge 8.0.

exactly

once ownership of the vinyl moves, the rights to play them moves too

You are going to need a sound card.

Creative Labs SoundBlaster X-Fi

I use it for recording my vinyl to mp3, very good soundcard.

Actually it's an overpriced consumer card with loads of unnecessary features and a lack of quality for the price it has.

However for general practice and normal users it's a great card to have fun with. Still overpriced though in my opinion.

I got it for cheap off ebay, and its absolutely amazing sound quality for me. If you configure it right its a beast of a card, I bought the "Xtreme Audio" one.

I use the card to record my vinyls to mp3 and to listen to music and spin stuff, and its a bloody brilliant card.

Just cause its Creative Labs doesnt mean all.

Trust me its a superb card, most crystal clear audio I've heard!

Are there any programs that i can download for free that will allow me to make good quality mp3's? e.g. 320 kbps?
