016 Windmill Sessions April 2008

Bit of a bumper special this month, on account of the sheer amount of quality music around, especially with brand new Moshic, Mango and Tastexperience tracks. So its 2hours long this time, an essential mix if you will:toothless I aimed to create a smooth melodic journey from start to finish. And it contains prog, trance, breaks, chillout and psytrance(!) all with that deep sensibility.
Hope everyone approves!

Track descriptions!

Tastexperience-Solo
Its been a while but finally Tastexperience get a major label release again! Huge familiar ambience sweeps in and out giving way to new building sounds in an epic opener, then the pacy beat is inroduced suddenly and the rest of the track lets you float away!
Moshic-Am I Stand On The Right Side
A downtempo track from Moshics brand new album melds into the outro of "Solo", to begin a darker and more atmospheric path.
Pole Folder-Mona Kea
Dark, gloomy soundscapes punctuated by a wonderful soaring vocal. Typical technical brilliance from Pole Folder.
Fernando Ferreyra-Chill AM
The clues in the title in this one! Chilled, bouncy rhythms and lovely "twinkling" piano melodies.
Arthur Deep-Friends
Deep and subtle melancholic melodics from that man Arthur Deep suspend the dreamy sounds.
Joey Medina-Reincarnation
Cassino+Laben-esque track from joey Medina injects a slight techy bassline to the proceedings and a confident, unhurried buildup.
Cantus-Campfires At Dusk(mango remix)
The mix shifts up a gear now into this brilliant melodic workout by Mango. Flowing rhythms, lush sweeps, blissful melodies and the catchiest bassline yet!
Darin Epsilon-Green Destiny (noosh+girard deep melodic mix)
A groove injection next up as this chugger comes into play. Loving the big break on this!
Namatjira-Would You Like To Go
The energy increases with this driving melody-laden track. Sultry spoken vocals, lush guitar work and natural sounds all in attendance.
Mango-Handelskai
Building melodics from Mango next up. Beautiful harmonics and warm synths utilised in this.
Tim Davison feat. Stacey Kitson-Deliver Me (hush mix)
The flow is then punctuated by the energetic breaks of "Deliver Me". Fans of Junkie Xl's remix of Infusion-Legacy will need this in their life!
G-pal-Can You Feel This (mango remix)
Grittier, quirky melodies take centre stage in this darker building track.
Mark Newnham-Neon
A mate of mine produced this track, and I think its a pretty damn good effort! The trancey melodies ebb and flow in this proggy track which builds throughout.
The Hamptons-Dont Know Any Better
The sounds become brasher and more noticeable in this electro-infused relentless melodic assault. The feet should be jigging a bit by now;0
Absance-Train Of Thoughts (michael+levan remix)
Its Michael+Levan, that means its good! Dark, trancey, proggy, big breaks, rich sounds-whatever, its all good. This tune also signals the final trancey bit of the mix, where the tempo increases.
Moshic-Bat Kol
For me this track is trance rather than progressive even if it is from Moshic. This is how trance should be, driving bass, atmosphere by the bucket load and subtle spine-tingling melody!
Rezo-Talyo (moshics edit)
A nice blend into another trancey Moshic track. Evocative chanting, deep percussive elements and strong synth work in this.
Zehavi+Rand-Paroxetine
Bosh! The mix gets banging now with this under-rated gem by Zehavi and Rand. Couldn't be trancier if it tried!
Art Sense-New Style
The previous track provided a nice link to this-a huge psy trance track that I have wanted to include in my mixes for some time. It builds and builds before finally unleashing a huge euphoric melody. Can see this doing big lasers-through-the-air style damage in the clubs.
Ilya Malyuev-Sunshine Flowers
A pacy but chilled offering from Ilya Malyuev provides a distictive "Windmill" style finish to the 2 hours:)

About halfway through and I'm really into it. I'm liking the whole uplifting dreamy feel it has to it. Also diggin the breakbeatish portions, they sound fantastic. Great stuff.

edit: Whoa there are some BOMBS around the 60 - 80 minute mark, NICE.

This is the best Session yet. Not just because its has the most content, but because the general track listing, and the overall flow and mood are just perfect. Everyone should have this

I'm made up that you said that zDmn, right from the start I knew this mix was coming together very nicely. With it being 2hours you can develop the flow and carefully address the structure with the confidence a larger time frame allows, for me its the "magic" length of time!

To be perfectly honest though, I just felt priveleged to be able to listen to all the wonderful productions this month, produced by such luminaries as Moshic, Pole Folder and Tastexperience et al. A goddamn privelege I tell thee!

Thanks for the input mate:)
