This is a weird case... I took the non-lethal weapons instructor course thru the Army, and am a certified taser instructor... a DRIVE STUN directs the shock strait in, whereas firing the cartride uses the body to close a circuit, spreading the charge thru the whole muscular system... i fin it odd that a DRIVE STUN would do this.
All that aside, wow... that sherif was a DICK. If the taser didn't work, he had a baton or mace to use, he should have progressed thru his escalation of force... every department is different I'm sure but COME ON... You'd be surprised how well an asp works.
This is really a sad case, I feel sorry for the family of the dead dude Haake. They should sue teh out of that department, they'll win. |

was that in canada ? there were 2 cases of death after tazers being used by canadian police recently |
