Every friggen promoter or person who knew a thing or two suggested to go early, but people are always too ignorant.
there's actually people bitching on Facebook too, the lineup issue's pretty widespread this year.
fact: bathrooms and dancefloors were jammed by midnight and there was still an enormous 3-4hr lineup outside. What does that tell you?
You should read the review thread again, all your info/insights are all in there as I'll I'm doing is repeating myself here. The problem wasn't WHEN ppl showed up, it's HOW MANY tickets Bal en Blanc sold. Suggesting that 15-20,000 people show up at 8-9PM wouldn't have resolved the issue.

On facebook the ratio of good vs bad commments is in the nature of 25 to 1.
Marcus007
as in 25 good 1 bad?

that's because of the plur vibe you and Annie started on Facebook :p ;)
I think most ppl had a good time, they made the best of it and the djs delivered for the most part. But I think by now ppl have to be wary of the organisation of this event, and for good reason.
If they could, I'd like to see it moved to Olympic Stadium. BeB could continue to maximize its ticket sales and the patrons would have a much better experience re bathroom lineup, entry lineup, and dancefloor space, perhaps. Maybe our new TA Mr Armstrong can chime in here and let us know if this is doable or not (or at least being discussed as a possibility for future BeBs).

me and plur don't go in the same sentence, n00b.

Unfortunately, in a review thread with 20 good reviews and a few bad ones, it is always the bad ones that stick with you. Multiply that out for a bigger event and you have the current situation. By reading that it was the cops/fire that contributed greatly to the lineup headaches outside I'm not sure what most of you expected to happen.
Also, as long as they sold tickets within capacity I don't understand how that can be perceived as greed - that's just business 101. I'm sure BeB wanted people in the venue as quick as possible, they're only losing money the longer you're outside.

Have a look at the TA review thread and tell me what the ratio is there? The party itself was okay, just getting to it was a hassle for many, if not most. If BeB were to run a truly representative poll, you can bet they'd get poor marks for organisation.
Again, the place was jammed by midnight so you could only imagine how bad it would have been inside without the marshalls slowing it down.
Swamper, you had to be there.. then again you may be used to how business is run at some other club on Queens Quay ;)

what is it with you and bal en blanc?
how many times will you repeat your crap rhetorics over and over? you are polluting every god damn thread with the same crap.
what DO YOU WANT?

P.s. it wasn't jammed by midnight, i have timed pics to back my words up.
MOST people got in in a timely fashion, say 13 on 15k got in pretty fast. Thats MOST people being inside in a reasonable time frame.
Stop bullting.

Oh geez, not you too. I thought you would have good sense from looking at some of these uninformed posts but then again look who you work for...
So far I've been defending my points against 1) someone who wasn't there, 2) someone who didn't wait in line, didn't pay for a ticket and works with/for BeB and 3) a scalper.
Post the pics, show your evidence. Did you even use the main bathroom or dance on that dancefloor even? It's too bad that TA gets read by so little people because anyone who had to wait in the washroom lineup or who had danced on that floor by midnight could clearly see the place was packed.
As I've said before, I'm over this issue, been over it for awhile. But if you're gonna defend an organisation that's massively dropped the ball two years in a row, at least give us some good hard evidence.
Or better yet, wait until Mr Armstrong addresses the "bullting." These viewpoints are so one-sided anyways, until the firemarshall actually says something on here.
If my having to repeat several key points to people who have not even bothered to read the other thread is "polluting" then I throw my hands up, sir. Then again, this is not surprising considering how I've seen other things handled on MTLTA forum. Talk to you later guys. I've got much better things to do.

I got there at 11:30 and couldn't believe the line-up...friends of mine left at 10:30 to avoid what happened to them last year...when we got there, they were right in front of the main entrance by the escalators so we slipped in at the right time...my other friends...well i didn't see them till Gervais was on the decks.
I picked up my tickets at when arrived in town at like 8:30. There were atleast 80-100 peeps waiting to enter the party.
