Random question re: taxes

OK so I'm going to file my taxes, this new guy is asking for my 2006 tax return and such. I don't recall my other tax guy needing the prior prior year's return... just the year he's processing (in this case, 2007)
Is this normal, or was my old guy abnormal in not needing that? |

| Yea, if you're having them done they usually ask you for the previous year's return. I went to H&R Block cause mine were complicated this year. They were gonna charge me over $200! So I manned up and figured them out myself. And it only wound up costing me $50. Maybe you should try and do them online. |
