New genre hybrid: Psycore?

On some of his songs, the trance artist Dynamic(not the rap artist) does this weird sort of hybrid of psytrance and hardcore/hardstyle(eg it has those big gabber-type kick drums, and sometimes a marching beat). Heard anything like this before?

Some of the higher BPM darkpsy uses square wave kicks. It certainly doesn't have much in common with hardstyle though. I'd have to hear the thing in question. It's probably just one of those people that calls something that isn't psy, psy. Pfft psycore... what a joke.

Is that not what Freeform is?

Psycore already exists: it is an off-shoot of darkpsy with speeds typically in excess of 155-160 BPM. For the most part, it is a Russian thing. The best artists making this style are Furious, Psykovsky, CPC, Kindzadza, and Osom (which is a combination of the previous three). Some other artists that might be considered psycore would include Cosmo, Highko, Infect Insect, Acid Goblins, Wooden Monsters, DataKult, and (sometimes) Baphomet Engine. Not all of this stuff is listenable, however (IMHO).

Well, this guy's stuff is only about 150 bpm, so it would be darkpsy? And only two or three tracks do this. Most of the tracks on the album(Acid Beat) are in fact genuine pystrance.

I always refer to that stuff as modern acid psy but that's just a personal thing.
Why acid? It's because of that acid mental corroding feeling i get from the music. I still like the style though :)

Sure, but I thought those last tracks were up there. Maybe not.
