After 15 years away i have decided that now may be for me to sell up in canada and move back home to wales and open a cclub in my home towns , Porthcawl and Bridgend.
After 20+ years in the club and music scene I certainly know how to put the club together
However I was wondering if there are any UK T.A's would have knowledge of that part of the world and how things are there clubwise
and are those areas even ready for EDM
Acton
i live in North Wales, come up here and start your club :p

pm me if you want any info or advice ;)

An EDM club wouldn't work in such a remote town like the ones you are talking about simple as. You're only hope in south Wales is Swansea or Cardiff. Dance Clubs just aren't successful in the UK unless they are in Cities and even then they really struggle without some serious backing of money to even get any remote chance of surviving. UK crowds will only follow the big UK names in any numbers like Judge Jules or Dave Pearce any other DJs will only get a small following on the whole.

Interesting responses
Last club that was any good in bridgend i recall was Drones and that was back in the begining of the 80's
In Porthcawl I once used to work at the now burnt down stoneleigh
as well as gigi's and i played the first house music in porthcawl back in 1986 at the apollo
Would like to come back and do something
Maybe the old embassy cinema (bingo last time I was home ) or did they knock that down as well
or maybe something smaller

I don't think anyone of here has that much indepth knowledge about that area to be honest, unless someone from south wales can appear and shed some light

totally untrue. all the good clubs in the north of ireland are out of the way in remote areas. people who go organised bus runs. every week the places are packed out.

Im working in Pembrokeshire, and there's a lot of people into EDM with nowhere decent to go. Cosmic gate were on locally in March, and i was told that matisse was rammed.

I guess it depends on what your motives are. I was talking along the lines of making a success out of it and making money. There's plenty of scope of putting on a night with some decent names and drawing reasonable crowds but i'd doubt there'd be any decent money in it

Edit : and Blakey what the bloody hell are you doing in darkest Wales :p

Working on an LNG site mate, mechanical completions jazz.
