The ADD aspect of huge music fests has gotta be the only draw back lol. Including the afterparties this is looking like the most overwhelming music festival I will have ever been to. Movement is about 12 hours each day, from 12 - 12 roughly, and the after events I assume will go until 4, 5, 6am. That translates to 14 - 16 hours of madness per day :eyespop: .
Hopefully there are bars around Detroit that serve the elixir of life. As tempting as it will be to check out some of the pre parties on Friday night, I think I'll opt to grab dinner somewhere and just chill. Well.. I say that now lol :rolleyes: |

It ain't like Miami man... there ain't to do in Detroit besides the parties. Don't be expecting no nice chill dinner at a sidewalk cafe, or a classy bar to drop by. If you want to find that stuff you gotta go HUNTING and it's not really walkable. Greektown would be about the only exception I know of. |

| Aww wtf kind of city .. :whip: Guess I've lived in NYC for too long :tongue2 . Adultnapper just added a Detroit date on his page , May 24th (venue TBA) :D . Hopefully the venues for all the after events aren't spread too far apart. |

It's mainly regular acts.. Armin Van Buuren, Blake Jarrell, Josh Gabriel, Benny Benassi, and a few others.
Any word on the Spectral/Ghostly afterparty or extra info on any of the other ones yet? Looks like most of the locals will be spinning at Corktown Tavern, and a few other taverns and pubs around the area so I'll definitely have to check out at least one or two of their events. Are taverns and pubs Detroit's version of lounges lol ?? |

I'm still only just recovering from my first couple of years as a TA. Jay's only just getting started lol.
He's never been to a music festival before so, no matter what I tell him about how easy it is to get burnt out, I don't think it'll be real to him until he's there, trying to make his way through a crowd of 350,000 people to get from one stage to the next or to get food or go to the bathroom lol, not to mention dancing and bugging the out all day and night, THEN hitting up afterparties AND afterhours parties AFTER the afterparties :stongue: !! ... only to go home, sleep for 3 hours and do it all over again for two more days :eyespop:
It was only a few weeks ago that I found out that DEMF has pulled over 1.7 million attendees in the past. I figured it'd be close to 50,000 people a day but it'll be closer to a quarter of a million people a day. I'm already considering hitting 2 afterparties on the first day so I'll need all the resting up I can get before next Saturday.

LMAO! Well put :stongue: . Props to you for getting things started on Friday night. I've only figured out which afterparties I plan on hitting up on the first night of DEMF (m-nus/voltal). I'd like to check out Old Miami on Monday as well. Feel free to suggest anything that shouldn't be missed :tongue2 |
