I know this DJ who only plays vinyls, and if someone hands him promos thats cd he rips'em apart and EATS them. But he plays music.

I picked up James Holden and Way Out West when I worked as travel liason for Avalon Boston a couple years ago. And I met Mark Farina in Miami. Yay for me!

Have met tons of DJs/produers, know some (major & minor) a little bit...just been fortunate to know the right people and be able to work with the promoter I work with...I am very fortunate, I must say, and try not to let it get to my head...because when people start telling their "stories," it just screams "ego" in how they present the story...and I don't want to come off that way. I am fortunate and very priviledged and appreciate everything I have been able to do and the access I have had and do not feel it's something for me to go around and shoot out of my mouth because that only gives off bad vibes as far as personality goes.

Most people I know who get into the scene get to a point where they feel they have the right for certain access and ...pisses me off. It's all a priviledge and should be respected as one....

anyhow, with that...

...one of the weirdest instances was when arrived at a club he was playing at where I was in the DJ area and I get poked and turn around and find him introducing himself to me...like WTF! Cause he reads TA (and I think he's a great DJ and have said it many times on here). lol. And he wanted to say thanks for the support.
