DJM-800 Master Cue question

I don't own this mixer, so please don't me RTFM me.
When I play gigs on the 800, I can't quite get the CUE set up the way I have my 600 at home in the studio. I'll explain how I achieve this on the 600. hopefully someone who knows the 800 in and out can help clarify.
On the 600, I turn the CUE on for the upcoming CDJ input, and the MASTER fader. Now, on the 'cue mix' knob (the one above the headphone volume), or whatever its called, you can sweep between the cue track, and the master signal. awesome. I like a little bit of the master in my headphones to help me hear it better.
On the 800, at gigs I try to set it up the same way, but when I tweak that 'cue mix' knob, the master side is dead. The CUE light is on over the master knob, but I don't hear anything when i turn that cue knob clockwise.
Is there a button or something I'm missing to activate this? |

have the knob with the cue/master...around 1 or 2 o'clock
and adjust volume accordingly with one right below it...should work |

Yeah... the split mono makes my brain implode.
I'll have to find someone with one of these boards and noodle in person. I've never had any time to get personal with it off the clock. Thanks for the replies though, super appreciate it! |

Just like the other guy said. I have my Master cue set at around 1 o'clock. You gotta make sure the CUE Button on the MASTER is pressed or else it won't work. And like he said, keep it in stereo.

that's the problem right there as soon as you light the master cue button up and the cue button on the channel you are going to beatmatch u can work it the way you want. |

Ha ha.. thanks for the DL.
One last question:
Does the master output knob affect the amount of master signal that runs through the Cue? the only explanation I can think of as to why I wasn't able to hear anything was that the way the club's sound system was calibrated, the master knob on the mixer was either at 50% or below. Can someone confirm / deny that the master knob effects the topic at hand? |

No it doesn't. On other mixers like the Rane TTM57 it does matter, but not on the Pioneer DJM800. |
