It is memorial day weekend. And DEMF is like WMC (multi day electronic music festival) except a lot cheaper with a lot better people, and a lot better music.
I know people who don't know about electronic music who go to WMC just because they're Julios. Those same people know they will be killed in Detroit by people like myself, so they abstain. |

What makes you think that there are better people attending DEMF? I mean, Miami is quite an expensive city to party in. I might be talking off my arse but a night at Space can easily cost you $250-300 if you party hard. Ask Nicole... :thepirate |

Because people who love techno are way better than any other people.
Especially when it comes to an electronic music festival. Do you want to be partying with a bunch of people who are there to see Tiesto because he was number 1 DJ and they heard from a friend of their cousin's that Ultra is the best party on earth, or with people who recognize all of the artists on the lists and know the difference between their music? |

But seriously $40 tickets for three days is way cheaper than going to all the shows at the clubs during the conference. And its mostly techno which is my favorite sub genre. Yes I am biased. |

they each have their draw. I'd rather be in the city of Miami, definitely, but DEMF's condensed into a weekend with a fantastic line-up and doesn't require international flight.
You can always just go to all three...or at least two. |
